Here are some options for typical installation:
Vinyl
Vinyl gives the appearance of real wood siding
where one overlaps the other and has a similar
grain texture.
Dutchlap
Dutchlap provides a softer look and is also a
recreation of hand carved craftsmanship of old
world carpenters that was used by early
American settlers. It has beveled edges to
create an added dimension.
Steel
Steel has the same attributes of vinyl, but is
proven to outlast and outperform.
Steel siding is less likely to fade and less likely
to pull away from house due to wind. It is also
less likely to get damage from hail or kids
playing in the yard, and is also maintenance
free.
Shakes
Shakes have the appearance of cedar shakes
with a square edge design that resemble hand
cut cedar shingles. They can be used on the
entire house or as a decorative accent.
Scallops
Scallops recreate the look of Cape Cod or
Victorian homes with rounded bottom edge and
overlapping rows. Typically used to create a
decorative focal point on the exterior of your
home.
